Flourish is a plant shop + wine bar where the lighting is kind, the wine is delicious, and nobody gets talked down to. We’re looking for Winetenders who can hold the room, tell the story, and keep things moving when the place is humming. The Role: Winetender (The Storyteller)

You’re the front-line ambassador of the Flourish wine experience—equal parts host, guide, and calm-in-the-chaos magician. You can recommend with confidence, move with purpose, and keep the vibe welcoming even when the bar is three-deep.

What you’ll do

Hospitality (Your superpower)

  • Provide genuinely warm, professional service for wine + small bites

  • Give thoughtful recommendations (no snobbery, no overwhelm—just “I got you”)

  • Create a guest experience that feels easy, special, and repeatable

Sales (You’re comfortable making the ask)

  • Meet daily sales goals through suggestive selling (the helpful kind, not the pushy kind)

  • Drive Cool Kids Club sign-ups with charm and clarity (you can explain the “why” in one breath)

Retail Operations (You’re steady + precise)

  • Process transactions and manage the POS system smoothly

  • Support register reconciliation and keep things accurate, even when it’s busy-busy

Maintenance (Clean = calm)

  • Handle opening/closing duties with care and consistency

  • Keep dishware + glassware clean, stocked, and ready to sparkle

Inventory (You respect the details)

  • Perform daily stock counts

  • Ensure wines are stored at optimal temperatures (because we don’t do sad wine)

Departmental Synergy (Plants are part of the party)

  • Maintain basic literacy of current plant inventory

  • Help direct customers and answer general botanical questions (you don’t have to be a plant wizard—just friendly and functional)

  • You’re a team player who does the little things (resetting, restocking, checking in) because they matter

  • Have wine/hospitality experience in fast-paced service
